I am a Lenovo fan (still using my x220) but I have to say that Dell XPS 13
and XPS 15 are really good choices with UHD displays and almost edge to
edge screen. Also they offer it with Ubuntu so everything should work super
fine.
For Lenovo either something from X line or something similar depending on
what screen size you want.

(I am also searching for a replacement and currently Dell XPS 13 is on my
#1)
