those commands that are invoked with ctrl (a e b f r s ...) usually
work ... e.g. programs that run in a terminal emulator support them,
and TextEdit does as well, for instance. but i think those that
require a different 'meta' key (e.g. M-f) can't work because those
already do something else on macs ... (e.g. cmd-f is find [or
full-screen, depending on context] and option-f writes a "ƒ") maybe
some programs let you use esc as second meta key, but certainly not
those from apple :)

oh, und die shortcuts, mit denen man das scheiß TOFU vermeidet,
würdest du eigentlich eh kennen, oder? ;)
