Might be a case of “lack of granularity” in what you can enter into the calendar.
Are these _real_ confirmed collisions or do you just not happen to know if the event organizers have coordinated this by use of their incredible social skills?

Quick reminder: Every event carries an organizer tag, if you happen to organize an event during the same $timestamp GET IN CONTACT with each other! Usually easily solved if there actually is something to solve at all.
