Senior Python/Django Web Developer

We are looking for django/python professionals, 
who are the "perfectionists with deadlines".

We are developing a django based high-availability web-application 
including document review, pdf creation, digital signing, 
audit log, revision control, configurable work flow, deadline tracking,
feedback mechanism, email tracking and more.

You are one of that builders who make things happen,
you are self motivated and like to work in a team of professionals.
Agile development is less a buzzword than natural approach for you.

We are looking for a 25h to 30h per week commitment,
with a total of approx. 1000 Work Hours over a period
of around 10 months split into 7 to 8 sprints beginning
with a short sprint starting at the first of December 2009.

We are based in Vienna/Austria, 
so you should be able to work in our time zone: CEST
and should be within reach of a 1 to 2 hours city to city flight.


Experience/Skills

* Excellent Python Knowledge; Bonus: usage of Jython, basic Java knowledge
* Bonus: Contributed accepted code to solid open source projects;
  Double-Bonus: Did that for Django.
* Knowing Django by Heart, having used/looked at pinax and various
  django pluggables, having successfully built at least two 
  production applications written mostly in python with Django
* Knowledge and opinion about Software-Architecture;
  Bonus: High Availability Environments
* Solid SQL knowledge and data modelling experience especially PostgreSQL;
  Bonus: Oracle
* Good knowledge of Javascript and Javascript libraries 
  and techniques (AJAX); Bonus: Jquery
* HTML and CSS: to a level a web designer can take over the stubs
  and make a good graphical design out of these
* Experience with a Linux environment for the server side
  (we are development platform agnostic, you can use your favorite
   mac/windows/linux/bsd/ setup for developing)
  Bonus: experience with virtual machines environments
* Shipping quality software on time; Bonus: experience with Scrum
* Easy-going personality and good interpersonal skills
* Excellent communications skills and experience in
  working remotely over Voice/Video Conferencing/Email/Chat/IssueTracking/
  VersionControl Systems and other online collaboration tools
* Experience in at least one of these version control systems and
  appropriate branching strategies: subversion, mercurial, git
* Writing Unit -, Integration tests is self-evident for you,
  using tools like unittest, nose, functest
* Good technical documentation writing for your code, restructured text;
  Bonus: knowledge of Sphinx, Epydoc
* At ease with Continuous integration practices and tools;
  Bonus: buildbot
* Using GUI Software test tools like Selenium; Bonus: Windmill
* Good command of written and spoken English; Bonus: German
