monochrom's KIKI AND BUBU: RATED R US - Austria Premiere
by j. grenzfurthner/monochrom (das ende der nahrungskette) 09 Dez '11

09 Dez '11

Our favorite sock puppets Kiki and Bubu have some feelings, so they sign up for an online dating site. When the People of China want to become their friend, they are excited. However, sending the People of China a video of themselves proves to be difficult: Their content gets flagged as inappropriate and taken down from YouTube. On the long quest for knowledge which follows, Kiki and Bubu learn all about Internet censorship. And love. Join us for the Austrian premiere of Kiki and Bubu's longest (50 minutes!) and most epic movie adventure! monochrom's Johannes Grenzfurthner and voice talent David Dempsey will present the film and share some behind-the-scenes knowledge. Yada, yada! At eSeL's METAmART -- Künstlerhauskino, Vienna (December 10, 2011, 2 PM) Rated R Us / project page: http://www.monochrom.at/rated-r-us/ Kiki and Bubu / all films: http://www.monochrom.at/kiki-and-bubu/

Dezember- und Geburtstagstreffen der Python User Group
by Christoph Schindler 08 Dez '11

08 Dez '11

The cake is a lie, though.

REMINDER: Fr 9.12. Metaday #46 - BRMLAB hackerspace, vital signs from Prague
by Peter Kuhm 08 Dez '11

08 Dez '11

The Metalab is glad to invite everyone interested to Metaday #46 on Friday, December 9 2011, 19:30 (20:00) at Metalab, Rathausstraße 6 http://metalab.at/wiki/Lage downtown Vienna close to the city hall – free entry == The Prague hackerspace brmlab == Lecturers: sargon, stick, niekt0, pasky, chido http://brmlab.cz http://soup.brmlab.cz A cultivated issue of the Metaday series is the information exchange with like-minded groups in the neighborhood. We had speakers from e.g. Nextlab, Hungary and later from the 2009 founded H.A.C.K. Budapest. The folks who held Metaday #17 "Eastern Promises" then co-founded the Slovak Progressbar. At the opening party for their new location in Bratislava we met members of the equally established brmlab from Praha. Distanced only little further than Vienna – Salzburg the capital of the Czech Republic Prague is well within reach. Reasons enough to invite them to Vienna for a show & tell about their cool projects and their way to run a space. There are some more contacts established: Metalabs biohacking-interested parties are keen to learn about the brmlab biolab. (A return visit at Prague will take place in the near future) == Lightning Talks == Lightning Talks are a entertaining format of short lectures presenting current ideas, ongoing projects and particularly work-in-progress. The length of a talk is strictly limited to 5 minutes. You're invited to add your lightning talk below. * Super Gamedev Weekend, presentation of and feedback on our first ideas and drafts * @NickF4rr: TBA * Clifford: electrical engineering courseware * ... * ... == Afterparty == Buffet, wine and ambient/downtempo chillout music
