by fin 18 Dez '11

18 Dez '11

Esteemed Dunstkreis, Nick Farr - a long-time friend of Metalab - has been Artist in Residence at Q21 through December. Since many of you know him, he asked me to forward this invitation to y'all: --------------------- OCCUPY ALL HEARTS Opening reception on 20 December at 19h Debut performance of the “Subversive Suits Dance Troupe” on 20 December at 20h The exhibition will consist of Digital Photography, Pencil and Charcoal Sketches, Video Art, Collages of Found Material and Interactive Art by Nick Farr and fellow collaborators he refers to as “his Posse”. The work is based on Nick’s experiences growing up in Western Michigan, as well as his experiences with Occupy in New York and his time as an Artist in Residence in Vienna. One special piece involves writing “Love Letters to the Enemy” which will be posted on the walls of the mezzanine in Raum D. The exhibition will feature the debut performance of the “Subversive Suits Dance Troupe“, an open collaboration of dancers in business suits who temporarily occupy public spaces such as U-Bahn stations and public squares with dance performances as a unique way of circumventing regulations regarding protest actions. Exhibition Hours: 20 December 19 h – 23:37 h 21 December 10 h – 23:37 h 22 December 10h – 13:37 h Flyer Link: http://www.occupyallhearts.org/inmq/occupy-all-hearts-first-promotional-pos… --------------------- If you'd like to contribute to this exhibition by joining the Subversive Suits Dance Troupe or by writing Love Letters to your Enemy, check here: http://www.occupyallhearts.org/join-in/ If you have a shop and want to display the exhibition poster (or know someone who does), email occupy(a)nickfarr.org I'll also bring some flyers to metalab for everyone to give away/to friends later tonight. Best -f

** Montag vormittags - Stromunterbrechung im Metalab **
by Peter Kuhm 18 Dez '11

18 Dez '11

</Hausmitteilung>
