Since 1999, the ROBOEXOTICA Festival for Cocktailrobotics – organised by 
monochrom and SHIFZ has playfully illustrated that it’s not in the 
nature of robots to outsmart and displace humans. The robots of the 
Roboexotica Festival give this away at first glance: there’s one mixing 
cocktails, one serving Schnapps, one preparing pancakes, yet another one 
offers wine cooler with elderberry syrup – clumsy at times, but always 
at your service and culinarily to the point! Roboexotica is a one of a 
kind platform right at the junction between art, technology, research, 
and science, taking place December 1st through 4th at the Freiraum Q21, 
MuseumsQuartier Wien. Therefore, we invite you with this open call to 
send ideas and proposals as to what kind of cocktail robot you would 
like to present at the event. Please send your suggestions to 
office at roboexotica.at until the 30th of November this year.

Mit der ROBOEXOTICA – dem Festival für Cocktailrobotik zeigen monochrom 
und SHIFZ seit 1999 auf spielerische Weise, dass es nicht in der Natur 
des Roboters liegt, den Menschen zu übervorteilen und auszubooten. Die 
Roboter der Roboexotica beweisen dies auf den ersten Blick: Einer mixt 
Cocktails, einer schenkt Schnäpse aus, einer bereitet Palatschinken zu, 
bei einem anderen gibt es Kaiserspritzer – manchmal tollpatschig, aber 
stets zu Diensten und kulinarisch auf den Punkt! Die Roboexotica ist 
eine weltweit einzigartige Plattform an einer sehr speziellen 
Schnittstelle von Kunst, Technologie, Forschung und Wissenschaft, die 
vom 1. bis zum 4. Dezember 2022 im Freiraum Q21, MuseumsQuartier Wien 
stattfindet. Wir rufen daher in unserem offenen Call dazu auf, uns bis 
zum 30. November eure Ideen und Vorschläge für teilnehmende 
Cocktailroboter an office at roboexotica.at zu senden.
