Today we’ll have another RetroSession at Metalab, in the afternoon:

The goal for todays session: boot up an Amstrad CPC628 with the new M4
board.

Continuing our effort to bring 8-bit machines into the 21st Century, we
will be booting up an Amstrad CPC6128 machine, fitted with the new M4
board which gives the machine access to gigabytes of storage, the
Internet over Wifi, and a few other neat things too ..

If you’re interested in the rejuvenation and re-purposing of older
machines, perhaps systems that were considered “useless” not too long
ago, then the RetroSession is for you!  We are avidly bringing these old
machines into the 21st Century.

On that note - we could USE YOUR HELP!  One of our participants has an
extensive collection of Amiga materials saved on SCSI disks  .. we need
to back it all up!  Trouble is, we don’t have all the SCSI cables we
would need to do this - perhaps you have a collection of SCSI cables and
adapters you could bring to the RetroSession?  Please do - we’re
desperately trying to get a working, modern rig set up to do full disk
imaging over SCSI .. but we don’t have the adapters we need.
