On Saturday, 2 November 2013 we're bringing YC Partner/Alumni and
Angel Investors Tikhon Benstam and Aaron Iba to Vienna to share their
founder stories, give advice, and have a limited number of YC style
office hours!
Reserve your tickets now: http://tilt.tc/rf65
(see description on Crowd Tilt for a link to also register for office hours)
This'll be a fantastic opportunity to learn about creating startup
ideas, finding co-founders, scaling, fundraising, exits, etc., and to
connect with others interested in entrepreneurship.
Tikhon Bernstam founded Scribd (YC '06), the document sharing site
that has over 100 million unique visitors per month. His most recent
startup, Parse (YC '11), provides cloud services for mobile developers
makes it simple to add a backend to iOS or Android apps. Parse was
recently acquired by Facebook for $85 million. Tikhon is also an
active angel investor of over 15 companies, including Optimizely.
Aaron Iba founded AppJet Inc. (YC '07) that developed EtherPad, the
first web-based realtime collaborative text editor. AppJet was
acquired by Google in 2009 and the technology was incorporated into
Google Wave and Google Docs. In 2011, Aaron joined YCombinator as a
partner, where he interviewed startups and provided mentoring and
advice, including everything from configuring MySQL to working on VC
pitches. Aaron left YC in 2012 to found his 3rd company (not announced
yet)!
We plan to bring in more founders from YC on that date. Check the
Crowd Tilt page for updates!
Please spread the word!
