Is it a Macbook Pro with an ExpressPCI slot? Because if it is, then you can also just get an ExpressPCI SSD card, put Ubuntu on it, and boot from that .. Its what I do on my 2009 MBP 17", anyway. I curse Apple for removing that slot in the new gens of "Macbook Pro" (ack, spit!) though! ; -- Jay Vaughan
