Subject: [SummerSource-L] Writers needed for guides for creating and
distributing content

Hi there,

Apologies for cross posting!

Do you have a passion for communicating to 'normal' people about
technology? Have you had experience in helping NGO's and citizen
journalists use technology for effective communications and activism -
using blogs, newsletters or radio interviews to reach their constituencies?

Tactical Tech helps human rights organisations use technology in
developing countries.

We're creating a citizen journalism toolkit that will help these
organisations use open source tools for creating and publishing content.
These guides will take people through the stages of thinking about what
they are trying to achieve, who they are trying to communicate with and
what resources they will require to use the tools effectively. There
will be small projects to help people get started and tip sheets on
using the tools.

We're looking for experienced writers to create 'how-to' guides to help
NGOs choose tools to fit their audience, resources and context with real
world scenarios and strategy tips.

If you're interested in working with us on a freelance project basis to
create a new kind of manual – a kind of 'open source made easy' guide –
do get in touch with us on becky at tacticaltech.org. Please include a
couple of samples of your published writing.
