 Marius disassembled the brocken lock:
I disassembled the lock, found a broken spring which had jammed the
 mechanism:

 found-broken-spring

I fished out the spring pieces and put it all back together.
Unfortunately, the spring has a function, so while we currently can
shutdown, we cannot reopen without an actual key.

  Symptom:
  * The lock latches closed fully on a single revolution instead of two
 revolutions
  * The lock unlatches in two revolutions.
  * The EVVA lock is a bit too smart - it counts the number of revolutions
it takes to close and uses the same number of revolutions to open.
  * -> after unlocking, the lock is stuck in “half open” mode.

Solution is probably to replace the box.
Note: The EVVA cylinder itself works fine.

  Alternative solutions for fearless hackers:
  1) Find a replacement spring. To install it, the whole lock box has to be
disassembled, which is a bit scary
  2) Reverse engineer the lock firmware to override the revolution count
 mechanism
  3) Find a social exploit at EVVA to obtain the firmware source code and
 modify it
