 It's '''not a broken cable''' or bad connector but a '''defective heating
 element'''. The leads have disintegrated, element needs to be replaced).
 The fragment in the ''Kabellade'' has a defective heater element as well,
 so of no help here.

 Both are now in a clear bag close to power supplies waiting for any things
 to come. The soldering irons were goodies from an ''element14'' hacker
 challenge, do we have access to spare parts?
