 Metalab has strived to be as open as possible while dealing with the
 issues that entails. I do not believe that requiring people to come by
 Metalab is productive in this instance, since there have been various
 instances where the wiki was specifically meant to be open to people who
 don't otherwise stick around the place. Example: You want to show off your
 startup at the Show and Tell, but you've never been there? Too bad,
 because you can't have a Wiki account. That would suck.

 While it might be an edge case (when comparing the frequencies of wiki use
 by different people), someone that is new, gets a tour and sticks around
 is an edge case too, but that doesn't mean we disregard the potential.

 My proposal: I'll write code (later tonight) instead of issue tracker
 comments.
