 My understanding is, that there is still a lot of bot registrations.

 I had an idea how to solve this:
 Mediawiki is popular so a lot of bots support it + the captchas don't stop
 them -> Individualising our setup so they are not compatible anymore.

 Instead of putting a captcha on the registration page, we could but a code
 up somewhere at Metalab, so when somebody wants to register they first
 have to visit Metalab (or ask somebody who is at Metalab to tell them in
 case of international hackers).

 RFC and improvements.
