 Sergii pointed out to me that our only wired mic did not work when he
 checked recently. After doing a quick check today, I can confirm this. It
 seems that a soldering point further up towards the capsule has gotten
 disconnected - which is easily fixed. But it also appears that someone has
 tried to fix (?), open (?) the microphone and in the course of that
 somehow destroyed whatever held the XLR socket at the bottom in place. Not
 sure how to fix that, but it should be doable as well, I'll try to look
 into it soon.

 Why didn't anyone report this earlier?
 Unexcellent treatment of infrastructure sucks. :(
