Urban Exploration aka "Reality Hacking"
by Constantin Hofstetter 02 Apr '07

02 Apr '07

Hola! Hofstetter(a)gmail.com; | Uniwien.de; Consti.de; Consti.at; hound.de; | Consti(a)Consti.de \=============================== == = =

[Metalab-announce] Twisty Little Passages -- Geschichte und Programmierung von Textadventures und Interactive Fiction
by Paul Böhm 01 Apr '07

01 Apr '07

_______________________________________________ Metalab-announce mailing list Metalab-announce(a)lists.metalab.at http://lists.metalab.at/mailman/listinfo/metalab-announce

ALL ENTRANTS MUST DOWNLOAD THE NEW GAME SKELLETON AND USE IT AS THE BASIS FOR STARTING THEIR GAME. See the help page listed in the next point for how to get it. And remember: it's imposible to get near last if you make a working game that resembles the theme. (Words of wisdom from eugman) 1. I've added a help page with some advice for entrants regarding what to submit in your entry, and how to plan your week: http://media.pyweek.org/static/help.html 2. Please read the rules to make sure you're fully aware of what you're allowed to do in the week, what resources you're allowed to use and what you're expected to turn in at the end of the week. http://media.pyweek.org/static/rules.html 3. I've written a tool to help with uploading your entries. Please download it from: http://media.pyweek.org/static/pyweek-upload.py Run the script with no args to get usage help. This script is included in the Skellington. 4. In order to qualify for judging at the end of the challenge, you MUST upload your source and check the "Final Submission" checkbox. You may upload a "final" submission as many times as you like, and you may additionally upload a py2exe'ed version of your final submission if you like. The latter is purely optional and if it's giving you grief just don't use it. 5. Note that screenshots are automatically thumbnailed by the system, so if you upload "pyweek.jpg" then you can access both: http://media.pyweek.org/dl/2/richard/pyweek.jpg http://media.pyweek.org/dl/2/richard/pyweek.jpg-thumb.png Where "richard" is replaced with the short name of your entry. In diary entries, please use the source: <a href="[IMAGE LINK]"><img src="[THUMBNAIL LINK]"></a> 6. hat gewisse Aehnlichkeit zum LASER Graffiti http://vision.eng.shu.ac.uk/mediawiki/index.php/Interactive_Camera-Projecto… --- snip --- ... The software makes use of a low cost off-the shelf webcam that is calibrated against a standard projector screen. The webcam is used to determine the position of physical pointer (e.g. a pen) which is then used to virtually move the X11 pointer. Point-and-click functionality has also been implemented. ... --- snap ---
