;) liegrue -flo

Antennen-Bau Unterstützung gesucht
by Georg Lippitsch 05 Nov '14

05 Nov '14

Georg

Open House at aliceblue
by Johannes Krtek 05 Nov '14

05 Nov '14

Liebe Grüße Johannes --- Hi, I am a coworker at aliceblue, a not-for-profit coworking space in the 4th district. Since we currently have a couple of desks available, there will be an open house event on November 18, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. If you're interested, come say hello: there will be free drinks and you'll be able to explore the space and get to know the resident coworkers. The aliceblue coworking space is located at Goldeggasse 29 on the grounds of an old chocolate factory. On 180m² there are about 7 desks, an atelier/workshop, a photo studio/meeting room, and a kitchen. Typically, we cook vegan/vegetarian and there is plenty of caffeine around in the shape of Café Grandoro, Yerba Mate Rosamonte and Club Mate. For more information and pictures, see aliceblue.at, send us an e-mail at office(a)aliceblue.at or just drop by the open house on the 18th. Best wishes, Johannes

Was wäre die Alternative ? War fürs erste mal am einfachsten out of the box umzusetzen. LgL

approximating arbitary shapes with segments
by Amir Hassan 03 Nov '14

i'm looking for a method to approximate arbitrary vector graphic shapes (circles, rects, bezier curves, etc.) with line segments. does anybody know the proper search terms for an algorithm doing that? greets, amir

i'm not looking for a heuristic approach. anyway, i think this is the one you remember: http://alteredqualia.com/visualization/evolve/. but it actually uses a form of simulated annealing and it uses polygones (not rects). But in fact i did something using rectangles and a genetic algorithm (inspired by the above): http://kallaballa.soup.io/post/466848221/Again-im-trying-to-approximate-pix… On Mon, 03 Nov 2014 18:36:24 +0100, Metalab General Discussion List <metalab(a)lists.metalab.at> wrote: > This sounds a bit like the "genetic algorithm approximating the mona > lisa with rectangles" a few years back. >Depending on what you're using > it for, there may be some original research involved :) > > can't wait to see the result tbh > > 2014-11-03 17:33 GMT+01:00 Amir Hassan <amir(a)viel-zu.org>: >> i'm looking for a method to approximate arbitrary vector graphic shapes >> (circles, rects, bezier curves, etc.) with >>line segments. >> >> does anybody know the proper search terms for an algorithm doing that? >> >> greets, >> amir >> >> _______________________________________________ >> Metalab mailing list >> Metalab(a)lists.metalab.at >> https://lists.metalab.at/mailman/listinfo/metalab
